Education is one of our top priorities at BeauCARE. We take pride in our strong focus on education and academic success of our participants. The programs offered in our Education Program Area include After School Homework Help/Tutoring, Leisure Learning opportunities, Pre-Licensing Drivers Ed, CPR/First Aid Training, and other life skill classes as needed by the community.
The Family Life Programs are focused on the current needs of the children and families of the area. Included in this section of programming are the Kerin & Millard Morris Family Life Center, Supervised Visitations, and Parenting Classes along with the VITA (Voluntary Income Tax Assistance) Program offered during the tax season.
BeauCARE Head Start Program is an Early Childhood education in a center based format. The program is geared toward children aged three to five and teaches the fundamentals of school readiness while addressing nutritional and developmental issues within the family.
BeauCARE offers a variety of sports, recreation and health programs and activities for community members of all ages. Exciting fitness classes, sports leagues, structured recreation during the After School and Summer Camp Programs, and special events like the Annual Halloween Hustle 5K Run/Walk are just some of the fun sports, recreation and health acitivities that BeauCARE provides to the community. We are proud to provide families and kids with a valuable resource for healthy, active living in Beauregard Parish.
BeauCARE's Youth Development Programs are historically one of the most successful program areas offered by the agency. This program area provides both children and youth with elements such as peer mentoring, citizenship and life skills training, team building activities, volunteer opportunities, civic engagement, positive socialization, and a safe environment with caring adults. These program elements are intended to improve attitudes and increase the positive impact these participants will have as young adults in the community.
